Pentagram New York partner, Design Observer co-founder, Michael Bierut came to Chicago to speak about his new book (& career) at the Art Institute on Tuesday. He is, of course, a famous design practitioner, writer, and critic, but I was struck by what a great guy he seemed to be. Looking forward to reading his new book:

We are so fortunate to have access to the amazing Chicago Cultural Center. It is free and there are always supurb, unexpected exhibits that inform and inspire. This week I was able to catch "Love for Sale: The Graphic Art of Valmor Products", a visual explosion of color and illustration displayed through vintage bottles, product containers and original artwork. Go see it! Love For Sale
